Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter, Crimping tool
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Ty-Rap cable ties
- Mount the controller
Secure the M2D2M-3 controller to the DIN rail using the integrated clips. Ensure the controller is level and firmly attached.
- Prepare the wires
Strip the ends of the wires to the appropriate length as specified in Table III. Ensure that the wire sizes match the connectors being used.
- Attach connectors
Attach the stripped wires to the male and female motor disconnects. Ensure that the correct connectors are used for the wire sizes.
- Crimp the connectors
Use the appropriate crimping tool to securely crimp the connectors onto the wires. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the crimping tool.
- Insert connectors
Push the male pin into the female barrel until fully inserted, creating a secure connection.
- Install the boot
Slide the boot/insulator onto the pigtail connectors until it stops. Ensure it covers the connection adequately.
- Secure the boot
Fasten the first Ty-Rap cable tie at the middle of the boot/insulator and tighten it snugly. Fasten the second tie 1/4 inch from the end of the boot and cut off any excess.
- Dress the lead assemblies
Carefully dress the lead assemblies into the junction box, ensuring that no wires are pinched or damaged.
- Verify connections
Use a multimeter to verify that all connections are secure and that there are no shorts. Ensure that power is disconnected during this verification.
