This guide provides instructions for the safe installation of the M276BWP bushing well plug, designed for insulating and watersealing an ELASTIMOLD 200A bushing well interface in high voltage electrical systems. Ensure all apparatus are de-energized before starting.

Hot-stick
Supplies needed:
Bushing well plug, Silicone lubricant, Electrostatic grounding wire (No. 14 Copper or equivalent), Suitable connector for grounding wire
- Connect Grounding Wire to Plug
Securely connect the electrostatic grounding wire (No. 14 Copper or equivalent) to the grounding eye of the bushing well plug. DANGER: All apparatus must be de-energized during this installation.
- Lubricate Bushing Well Plug
Lubricate the external mating surface of the bushing well plug with the provided silicone lubricant. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE. Ensure mating surfaces are free of dirt and grime.
- Insert and Tighten Plug into Bushing Well
Firmly attach a hot-stick to the bushing well plug hot-stick eye. Insert the plug into the bushing well and rotate clockwise until it is tight. Verify that the conductive flange is within 1/16 inch of the bushing well metal flange. DANGER: All apparatus must be de-energized during this installation.
- Connect Grounding Wire to System Ground
Connect the electrostatic grounding wire to the system ground, using a suitable connector. Ensure this connection is secure and in accordance with local and national work rules.
