The K656CH joint meets ANSI/IEEE Standard 386, Latest Revision.

The K656CH joint has a continuous current rating of 600 Amps for both 15kV and 25kV voltage classes.

For the 25kV class, the maximum phase-to-ground operating voltage is 16.2kV and maximum phase-to-phase is 28kV. It has a 140kV BIL impulse withstand.

For the 15kV class, the maximum phase-to-ground operating voltage is 8.3kV and maximum phase-to-phase is 14.4kV. It has a 95kV BIL impulse withstand.

The K656CH Separable "H" joint is used to join cables in a disconnectable 4-way joint. It is suitable for small vaults and manholes due to its compact size.

It is a 15/25kV, 600A Deadbreak rated separable connector with a compact design. It is fully shielded, fully submersible, and made of 100% peroxide cured EPDM molded rubber.

The momentary current rating for the joint is 25kA Symmetrical for 10 Cycles for both 15kV and 25kV classes.

A complete joint package includes an insulated bus bar, straight receptacle housing, retaining rings, cable size adapters, lugs, bolts, and washers.

Choose the proper compression lug code (X) from table 2 according to the conductor size.

To determine the correct insulation diameter code (W), measure the cable's insulation diameter in inches or mm and select the code that best straddles this value from the W table.
