- Prepare the cable
Clean the cable of all visible dirt using a rough cloth or brush, and ensure a bright copper finish by wire brushing.
- Position the cable
Insert the cable end into the GR12-202 connector, ensuring it protrudes at least 3/4” beyond the connector.
- Crimp the connector
Use the hydraulic tool (model 13100A or equivalent) with die 15G121R to perform two crimps on the connector to secure the cable.
- Verify installation
Check that the connector is securely attached and that there are no visible gaps between the cable and the connector.
