Supplies needed:
Ground rods, Ground grid connectors, Cable
- Prepare the cable
Clean the cable of all visible dirt using a rough cloth or brush. Ensure a bright copper finish by wire brushing or using a knurling tool on smooth ground rods.
- Position the cable
Insert the cable end(s) into the connector, ensuring they protrude at least 3/4" beyond the connector.
- Crimp the connector
Using the appropriate hydraulic crimping tool, crimp the connector securely. If using the TBM15, TBM15CR-LI, or TBM15I tool, ensure to use die adapter No. 15500-TB.
