This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit, a force-fit type connector, ensuring a proper and sealed connection for electrical cables. Installation must be performed by trained installers in accordance with all applicable electrical codes and safety rules.

Cleaning supplies, Pencil, Cutting tool, Crimping tool, Wrench or socket
Supplies needed:
FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit, Electrical cable, Lug, Bus, Silicone grease
- Clean the Cable
Thoroughly clean the cable before installing the rocket sleeve to ensure a proper seal and connection.
- Pencil Cable Insulation
Mark the cable insulation with a pencil as a guide for subsequent steps, ensuring accurate preparation.
- Select Correct Cut Ring
Refer to the cable range shown in raised numbers on each cut ring of the sleeve. Match the conductor size being installed to the correct ring.
- Cut Sleeve Tip
Using a suitable cutting tool, carefully cut off the tip of the sleeve up to the selected ring. The proper cut will leave the required conductor range showing on the sleeve.
- Lubricate and Install Sleeve
Lubricate both ends of the rocket sleeve and the cable with silicone grease. Hold the cable at an angle to the opening, then twist the rocket sleeve while pushing it firmly onto the cable.
- Compress Lug
Using an appropriate crimping tool, compress the lug securely onto the prepared cable.
- Slide Rocket Sleeve
Slide the rocket sleeve over the lug and onto the shoulder of the bus until the rocket butts firmly against the rubber of the connector bar.
- Bolt Terminal to Bus
Securely bolt the terminal to the bus, ensuring a tight and reliable electrical connection.
