This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Force Fit Type Connector Kit, ensuring a secure and sealed connection for various conductor sizes, including CFG 1/0 CS.

Crimping tool, Cutting tool, Wrench
Supplies needed:
FLOOD-SEAL® FS-95 Connector Kit (includes rocket sleeve and lug), Cable (conductor), Silicone grease, Bus
- Clean the Cable
Before proceeding, thoroughly clean the cable to ensure proper installation of the rocket sleeve.
- Prepare Cable Insulation
Pencil the cable insulation as required for the connector installation.
- Match Conductor Size to Cut Ring
Refer to the cable range shown in the raised numbers on each cut ring. Match the conductor size being installed to the correct ring for your specific cable.
- Prepare the Rocket Sleeve
Cut off the tip of the rocket sleeve up to the selected cut ring. The proper cut will leave the required conductor range showing on the sleeve.
- Lubricate and Install Rocket Sleeve onto Cable
Lubricate both ends of the rocket sleeve and the cable with silicone grease. Hold the cable at an angle to the opening. Twist the rocket sleeve while pushing it firmly onto the cable.
- Compress Lug onto Cable
Using an appropriate crimping tool, compress the lug securely onto the prepared cable.
- Position Rocket Sleeve on Bus
Slide the rocket sleeve over the lug and onto the shoulder of the bus until the rocket butts against the rubber of the connector bar.
- Secure Terminal to Bus
Bolt the terminal securely to the bus, ensuring a tight and reliable connection.
