Overview

The ABB Copper Two-Way Splice, SKU 58526, is engineered for robust electrical connections in demanding industrial environments. This long barrel splice is constructed from high-strength copper, tin-plated to inhibit corrosion and ensure reliable conductivity. It is specifically designed for stranded copper conductors up to 900 kcmil, featuring a 5.5-inch overall length for ample crimping surface and superior wire pull-out strength. The internal wire stop prevents over-insertion of conductors, ensuring a secure and consistent termination. This splice is marked with Die Code 115, color-coded yellow for easy identification and compatibility with specified crimping tools and dies, including Panduit and competitor systems. It is UL Listed and CSA Certified to 35 kV and temperature rated to 90°C when crimped with appropriate tools and dies, meeting stringent performance standards for power distribution, industrial machinery, and complex electrical installations. The long barrel design maximizes the number of crimps, contributing to premium electrical performance and mechanical integrity. This splice is tested by Telcordia to meet NEBS Level 3 and is American Bureau of Shipping approved, underscoring its suitability for critical applications. Ensure proper crimping with Panduit® Uni-Die™ Dieless Crimping Tools or specified competitor tools and dies for optimal results.
