How to Install the N360846G700 Air Conditioner

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the N360846G700 air conditioner.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting gasket kit, Copper conductors, Slow blow fuse or HACR circuit breaker

  1. Inspect and Test Functionality

Inspect the air conditioner for any damage. Test its functionality before mounting. Ensure the unit has been in an upright position for at least 5 minutes if it was transported horizontally. Refer to the nameplate for electrical requirements and wire to a properly grounded power supply using only copper conductors. The minimum circuit ampacity should be at least 125% of the amperage shown on the unit nameplate. Do not connect other equipment to this circuit. Immediately after applying power, the evaporator blower should start. Operate the unit with the compressor running for 5-10 minutes by setting the cooling thermostat or controller setpoint below the ambient temperature. Condenser air temperatures should become warmer than room temperatures within a few minutes after the condenser impellers start.

  2. Mount the Air Conditioner

Install the provided mounting gasket kit to the air conditioner. Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure, taking care not to damage the gasket. Avoid dragging the unit on the enclosure with the gasket attached to maintain a watertight seal. Ensure the unit remains upright during operation.

  3. Wire the Unit

Refer to the nameplate for specific electrical requirements. Wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply using copper conductors. The electrical circuit should be fused with a slow blow fuse or an HACR circuit breaker. For units requiring a remote thermostat, wire the thermostat outputs to the appropriate terminals on the 24 VAC terminal strip according to the correct wiring diagram.

  4. Set Thermostat

Set the thermostat for the required cabinet temperature. Refer to the 'Sequence of Operation' section for thermostat adjustment and operation details. For testing purposes only, the thermostat stop screw may be removed to allow settings below 70 F, but it must be replaced and verified afterward.
