How to Install the HG1300403 Filter Fan

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the HG1300403 filter fan into an enclosure, ensuring proper mounting and wiring.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template

  1. Prepare the enclosure

Apply the cutout template to the side of the enclosure where the fan will be installed. Ensure the template is positioned correctly.

  2. Cut the opening

Cut out the hole in the enclosure using the appropriate size for the HG1300403 model. Deburr the cutting edge to avoid sharp edges.

  3. Insert the filter fan

Insert the filter fan into the cutout opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.

  4. Secure the fan

If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), use mounting fasteners to secure the fan. For thicker materials, ensure fasteners are used to maintain the IP rating.

  5. Wire the filter fan

Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Use a multimeter to verify connections.

  6. Verify clearance

Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstructions.
