How to Install the HG0900403 Filter Fan
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the HG0900403 filter fan into an enclosure, ensuring proper mounting and wiring.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the hole
Using the appropriate drill bit, cut out the hole in the enclosure as specified for the HG0900403 model. Deburr the cutting edge to prevent injury.
- Insert the filter fan
Insert the filter fan into the cutout hole and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Secure the fan
If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), ensure fasteners are used to maintain the IP rating.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagram provided on page 5 of the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Use terminal connectors as needed.
- Verify installation
Check that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstructions to ensure proper airflow.
- Test the fan operation
Power on the system and use a multimeter to verify that the fan is operating correctly and within the specified voltage range.
