How to Install the HG0400404 Filter Fan
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the HG0400404 filter fan into an enclosure, ensuring proper mounting and wiring.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the enclosure side. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the opening
Using the appropriate size cutout tool, cut the hole in the enclosure as per the model specifications. Deburr the cutting edge to prevent injury.
- Insert the filter fan
Insert the filter fan into the cutout opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Secure the fan
If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), use mounting fasteners to secure the fan. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), ensure fasteners are used to maintain the IP rating.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Use a multimeter to verify correct voltage and connections.
- Verify installation
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstruction to allow for proper airflow.
