This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles on an enclosure, ensuring proper fit and function.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure the template is aligned correctly.
- Cut the opening
Using the appropriate tool, cut out the hole in the enclosure as per the template specifications. Deburr the cutting edge to remove any sharp edges.
- Insert the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the cutout opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Secure the installation
If the panel thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), ensure fasteners are used to maintain the IP rating.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power source. Use terminal connectors as needed.
- Verify installation
Check that the enclosure with the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstructions.
