This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure.

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template

  1. Prepare the enclosure

    Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting tool to avoid damage.

  2. Cut the hole

    Cut out the hole in the enclosure using the appropriate size for your model. Deburr the cutting edge to prevent injury.

  3. Insert the fan or grille

    Insert the fan or grille into the cutout and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.

  4. Secure with fasteners

    If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), fasteners are required to maintain the IP/Type 12 rating.
