How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the hole
Using the appropriate cutout size for your model, cut a hole in the enclosure. Deburr the cutting edge to remove any sharp edges.
- Insert the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the cutout hole and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Install mounting fasteners
If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 (3.5 mm), removal of the grille is required to install the fasteners.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual for your specific model to connect the filter fan. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Verify clearance
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstruction.
- Test the installation
Power on the filter fan and use a multimeter to verify that it is operating correctly. Check for any unusual noises or vibrations.
