How to Install the G572026G700 Air Conditioner

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the G572026G700 air conditioner.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Wrench, Ratchet driver

Supplies needed:

Mounting gasket kit, Copper conductors

  1. Inspect and Test Functionality

Inspect the air conditioner and verify correct functionality before mounting. Ensure the unit has been upright for at least 5 minutes before operation. Refer to the 'HANDLING AND TESTING THE AIR CONDITIONER' section on page 3 for detailed testing procedures. CAUTION: The air conditioner must be in an upright position during operation to prevent damage to the compressor and voiding the warranty.

  2. Prepare for Mounting

Install the mounting gasket to the air conditioner using the provided mounting gasket kit. Ensure the gasket is properly seated to maintain a watertight seal.

  3. Mount the Air Conditioner

Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure. Avoid dragging the unit on the enclosure to prevent damage to the mounting gasket. Start mounting bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with a wrench or ratchet driver.

  4. Wire the Unit

Refer to the unit's nameplate for electrical requirements. Wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply using copper conductors only. The electrical circuit should be fused with a slow blow or HACR circuit breaker. For 3-phase units, verify correct electrical phasing by checking the phase monitor light after applying power. If the light is not illuminated, disconnect power and swap any two power leads at the terminal block.

  5. Connect Thermostat (if applicable)

If your air conditioner requires a remote-mounted thermostat, wire the thermostat outputs to the appropriate terminals on the 24 VAC terminal strip according to the correct wiring diagram for your unit model.

  6. Set Thermostat

Set the thermostat to the required cabinet temperature. Refer to the 'Sequence of Operation' on page 4 for details on thermostat adjustment and operation. Do not set the enclosure thermostat to a temperature lower than 70 F to prevent coil freeze-ups.
