How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, Cap nuts, Lockwashers
- Assemble the wireway sections
Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.
- Install the telescope fitting
Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert the body into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.
- Anchor the telescope fitting
Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting at the desired extension. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.
- Cut the wireway to length
Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.
- Install swivel nipples
Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure with clips, screws, and nuts as detailed in the installation instructions.
- Make box entries
For box entries without swivel nipples, cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, ensuring proper alignment with the wireway.
