How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, .25−20 screws, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, round swivel gasket, and swivel nipple in order. Secure with screws and nuts.

  6. Make box entries

Trace the box entry cutout on the outside of the enclosure using the provided connector flange as a pattern. Cut out the marked area and install the connector flange and gasket inside the enclosure.

  7. Connect the wireway to the enclosure

Position the round swivel gasket and swivel nipple on the outside of the enclosure, secure with clips, screws, and nuts.

  8. Verify grounding continuity

If the wireway is used for grounding, ensure that grounding continuity is maintained across all fittings and connections.
