Twin-70 raceway base, 10 foot length. Supplied with pre-punched mounting holes. 2' of cover needed for every 1' of Twin-70 base. How to Install the Lay-In Wireway
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Seal plates
- Assemble the wireway sections
Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.
- Seal the joints
For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and secure it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring gaskets are visible from above. Rotate the cam to lock the position.
- Install the box entries
Make a cutout in the enclosure for the wireway entry. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, then seal the joint with a 90° angle sealing plate.
- Adjust the telescope fitting
Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert it into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.
- Anchor the telescope fitting
Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.
- Calibrate the wireway
After installation, verify that all joints are sealed properly and that the wireway is level and securely mounted.
