How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting, leaving out the top flange screw on the hinge side, and install it with a shoulder bolt through the flange. Ensure gaskets are visible from above.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure as specified, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a 90° angle sealing plate to secure the connection.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting, then install .25−20x.5 screws with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  6. Calibrate the wireway

After installation, verify that all sections are securely fastened and that the wireway is level. Use a multimeter to check for grounding continuity if applicable.
