Overview

The nVent **F66WR44SS Reducer Bushings Feed-Through Center Hole** is a precision-engineered stainless steel (SS304) component designed to seamlessly transition between wireway sizes while maintaining structural integrity and wire protection in demanding industrial environments. Engineered for feed-through applications, this 6x6 to 4x4 reducer bushing centers the two wireway sections relative to each other, ensuring optimal alignment and minimizing stress on cables during installation and operation. The center hole design allows for smooth wire passage, while the edge hole configuration ensures top surfaces remain flush, preventing snagging or damage in high-traffic or automated systems. Constructed from high-grade SS304 stainless steel, this bushing delivers exceptional corrosion resistance, making it ideal for frequently hosed-down, wet, or highly corrosive applications such as food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical plants, and outdoor industrial settings where moisture and chemical exposure are constant concerns. **Key Features and Benefits:** - **Corrosion-Resistant SS304 Construction:** Offers superior resistance to rust, chemicals, and moisture, extending service life in harsh environments. SS304 is a globally trusted grade for industrial applications due to its durability and compliance with food-grade and sanitary standards. - **Feed-Through Center Hole Design:** Facilitates clean wire routing between wireway sections, reducing friction and preventing cable wear during installation or maintenance. The centered alignment minimizes bending stress on wires, enhancing system reliability. - **Edge Hole for Surface Alignment:** Ensures top surfaces of connected wireways remain even, preventing tripping hazards and maintaining a professional, code-compliant installation in commercial or industrial facilities. - **Versatile Compatibility:** Designed to integrate seamlessly with other nVent wireway sections and fittings, providing a cohesive and scalable solution for expanding or modifying electrical distribution systems. Compatible with standard 6x6 and 4x4 wireway profiles, this bushing is a drop-in replacement for existing systems or a critical component in new installations. - **Enhanced Wire Protection:** Shields cables from physical damage, abrasion, and environmental contaminants, reducing downtime and maintenance costs associated with cable failures or replacements. **Industry Applications and Use Cases:** The nVent F66WR44SS Reducer Bushing is a critical component in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications where wireway systems require size transitions without compromising protection or performance. In **food and beverage processing**, the SS304 construction meets stringent hygiene requirements while resisting frequent washdowns with high-pressure water or chemical cleaners. **Pharmaceutical and biotech facilities** rely on this bushing to maintain cleanroom integrity and prevent contamination in controlled environments. **Chemical plants and refineries** benefit from its corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term reliability in areas exposed to corrosive gases, liquids, or vapors. Outdoor industrial settings, such as **solar farms, water treatment plants, and telecommunications towers**, use this bushing to protect wiring in exposed or high-moisture conditions. **Installation and Selection Considerations:** Professionals select reducer bushings based on wireway size compatibility, environmental exposure, and system requirements. The F66WR44SS is ideal for reducing from a 6x6 wireway to a 4x4 section, but it can also be used in reverse applications where a larger wireway is needed downstream. When installing, ensure the bushing is securely fastened to both wireway sections using compatible hardware to prevent vibration or movement that could dislodge wires. For outdoor or high-corrosion environments, consider additional sealing or protective coatings to further enhance longevity. nVent’s reputation for engineering robust electrical solutions ensures this bushing meets or exceeds industry standards for durability and performance, making it a trusted choice for engineers and contractors who prioritize reliability and safety. **Why Choose nVent?** As a global leader in electrical solutions, nVent delivers products designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern industrial applications. The F66WR44SS Reducer Bushing exemplifies the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer-centric design. With a focus on corrosion resistance, ease of installation, and long-term performance, nVent products like this bushing help reduce total cost of ownership while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert the body into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned and secure with screws and nuts.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install the swivel nipple

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure with clips, screws, and nuts as specified in the installation details.

  6. Make box entries

For box entries without a swivel nipple, cut out the enclosure as shown in the details. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and place another gasket between the wireway and the enclosure surface.

  7. Install hangers

Assemble the hangers as shown in the details, ensuring they do not fit between adjacent wireway flanges. Attach the hangers to the wireway flanges in various positions as needed.
