How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers, .25-20 threaded rods

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Adjust the telescope fitting

Assemble the parts of the telescope fitting in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly seated against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting at the desired extension. Install .25-20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure the assembly with screws and nuts, ensuring all clips are properly attached.

  5. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure as shown in the details. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and ensure another gasket is placed between the wireway and the enclosure surface.

  6. Calibrate and test connections

After installation, verify all connections with a multimeter to ensure continuity and proper grounding. Adjust any fittings as necessary to maintain alignment.
