How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through each side of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure with screws and nuts, ensuring all components are tightly fastened.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and ensure another gasket is placed between the wireway and the enclosure.

  7. Attach hangers

Assemble the hangers as shown in the details and attach them to the wireway flanges in the desired positions.
