Overview

The nVent F66WE90SS is a 90-degree elbow for wire and cable management, designed for seamless transitions in continuous wireway runs. Constructed from 18-gauge 304 stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish, this elbow offers superior corrosion resistance and durability. Its 6.00 x 6.00 inch (152 x 152 mm) cross-section and 9.00 inch (229 mm) radius accommodate high-density cable bundles while allowing for thermal expansion and airflow. The F66WE90SS features adjustable dividers and three cover options (front, inside, and outside) for flexible routing and access. Quarter-turn latches ensure secure closure. Connecting hardware is included, and models without tabs connect directly to other elbows without a splice. This wireway elbow supports directional control of washdown effluence and is classified under E263414 for suitability as an equipment grounding conductor per UL standard. Ideal for food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, and outdoor utility installations where robust protection against moisture and chemicals is required. All dimensions adhere to NEMA standards, enabling customized runs with standard catalog products.

How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Feed-Through Wireway, including assembly, mounting, and securing connections.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Mount the wireway

Secure the assembled wireway to the desired location using appropriate mounting screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.

  3. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Secure with screws and nuts.

  4. Drill and anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used in a vertical position, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  5. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway to the desired length, ensuring it is cut squarely. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any sharp edges.

  6. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure with screws and nuts.

  7. Make box entries

If entering a control enclosure, make a cutout in the enclosure as specified. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and secure the wireway section to the outside.

  8. Verify grounding continuity

If the wireway is to be used for grounding, ensure that grounding continuity is maintained across all fittings and connections.
