This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and securing sections of the nVent HOFFMAN Type 1 Wireway using its integrated snap connect feature and fastening hardware.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Torque wrench or torque screwdriver
Supplies needed:
SCR HEX 10-32X.250 (4x) - Hex head screws, NUT HEX10-32 (2x) - Hex nuts, WASH LOCK #10 (2x) - Lock washers
- Engage Wireway Sections
Align two sections of the Type 1 Wireway and firmly push them together until the snap connect feature fully engages. You should hear an audible 'click' indicating a secure initial connection.
- Insert Securing Screws
Insert the provided hex head screws (SCR HEX 10-32X.250) into the designated fastening holes located on the connected wireway sections. Ensure the screws pass through both sections.
- Secure Connection with Hardware
From the inside of the wireway, place a lock washer (#10) onto each screw, followed by a hex nut (HEX10-32). Tighten the screws to a torque of 4.5 ± 0.5 N*M (40 ± 4.0 LBF*IN) to ensure a robust and secure connection between the wireway sections.
