Overview

The nVent F66BK60 Barrier Divider Wireway Kit Bolt-On is a factory-engineered solution for dividing 6.00 x 6.00-inch wireway sections into isolated compartments. Manufactured by nVent, a global leader in electrical connectivity, this kit ensures organized cable management and enhanced electrical safety in industrial, commercial, and institutional applications. Key specifications include a 4.50-inch (114 mm) barrier width, 60.00-inch (1524 mm) length, and durable mild steel construction with a corrosion-resistant gray finish. The bolt-on design features pre-punched mounting holes and includes sealing washers to maintain IP-rated protection against dust and moisture ingress when used with compatible nVent wireway systems. Compatible with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP66 environments, the F66BK60 supports compliance with NEC and IEC wiring standards. Typical applications include power distribution panels, data centers, manufacturing facilities, and renewable energy installations where cable segregation is critical for safety and performance. The barriers effectively separate high-voltage power cables from low-voltage control wiring, minimizing crosstalk and simplifying troubleshooting.

How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Sealing plates

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

For joints between lay-in sections, use the LSGQR fitting and install it by leaving out the top flange screw on the hinge side. Ensure gaskets are visible and rotate the cam to lock.

  3. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the control enclosure as specified, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a 90° angle sealing plate as described.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body. Insert it into the straight section and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.
