This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Gaskets, Lockwashers
- Assemble the wireway sections
Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using the provided screws and nuts.
- Install the telescope fitting
Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.
- Secure the telescope fitting
Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting, then install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside, securing with cap nuts and lockwashers.
- Cut the wireway to length
Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld the extra flange to the body and grind off any sharp edges.
- Install swivel nipples
Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure with screws and nuts, ensuring a tight fit.
- Make box entries
Trace the box entry cutout on the enclosure using the connector flange as a pattern, then make the cutout. Install the connector flange and gasket inside the enclosure.
- Connect the wireway to the enclosure
Position the round swivel gasket and swivel nipple on the outside of the enclosure, secure with clips, screws, and nuts.
- Verify connections
Use a multimeter to check for continuity and ensure all connections are secure and properly grounded.
