How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Feed-Through Wireway, including mounting, wiring, and ensuring proper connections.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, .25−20 screws, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert the body into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned and secure it with the compression ring and screws.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring it is cut squarely. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure the assembly with clips, screws, and nuts as detailed.

  6. Make box entries

For box entries without a swivel nipple, cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and another gasket between the wireway and the enclosure surface.

  7. Install hangers

Assemble the hangers according to the provided details and attach them to the wireway flanges in the desired positions.
