How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

Insert the body of the telescope fitting into the straight section and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket retainer is positioned correctly and secure it with the compression ring using screws and nuts.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring to leave enough space for the flange and gaskets. Weld the extra flange to the body and grind off any sharp edges.

  5. Install the swivel nipple

Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure the assembly with screws and nuts.

  6. Make box entries

Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for box entries as shown in the details. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and ensure another gasket is placed between the wireway and the enclosure.

  7. Install hangers

Assemble the hangers as shown in the details. Ensure they are attached to the wireway flanges in various positions as needed.
