How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and secure connections.

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Lockwashers, .25−20 threaded rods

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

    Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

    Assemble the telescope fitting parts in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is positioned correctly and secure it with the compression ring and screws.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

    If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

    Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any burrs or sharp edges.

  5. Install swivel nipples

    Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in order. Secure them with screws and nuts, ensuring all components are tightly fastened.

  6. Make box entries

    For box entries without swivel nipples, cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure. Install the box connector and gaskets as specified, ensuring a proper seal.

  7. Assemble hangers

    Assemble the hangers according to the provided details, ensuring they are securely attached to the wireway flanges in the desired positions.
