How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling and installing the Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Seal the joints

After installing the wires, seal each joint between sections using either the LSGQR fitting method or the 90° angle sealing plate method as described in the installation instructions.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure for the wireway entry, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a sealing plate to secure the connection.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor the telescope fitting

If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting, then install screws and cap nuts to secure it.

  6. Calibrate and finalize installation

Ensure all connections are tight, verify grounding continuity if applicable, and check that the wireway is level and securely mounted.
