How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Wire connectors

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

    Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

    After installing the wires, seal each joint between the sections using either the LSGQR fitting method or the 90° angle sealing plate method as described in the installation details.

  3. Install box entries

    Make a cutout in the control enclosure as specified, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install a 90° angle sealing plate to ensure a secure fit.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

    Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting body, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor telescope fitting

    If the telescope fitting is used in a vertical position, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting, then install screws and cap nuts to secure.

  6. Calibrate and finalize installation

    Ensure all connections are tight and secure, check for grounding continuity if applicable, and apply touch-up paint to any exposed areas to match the original finish.
