How to Install the EXEBDM20SS6 Breather Drain
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the EXEBDM20SS6 Breather Drain to ensure proper drainage and maintain the integrity of the enclosure.
Estimated time: 30m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Torque wrench, Compressed air
Supplies needed:
Castellated locknut, O-ring seal, Mounting screws
- Prepare the installation area
Ensure the surface of the enclosure is clean and free from dust or moisture. This is crucial for maintaining the IP rating of the Breather Drain.
- Install the Breather Drain
Position the Breather Drain at the lowest point on the enclosure. If using clearance holes, ensure they are 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm larger than the major diameter of the thread size. Secure the Breather Drain with the castellated locknut.
- Apply recommended torque
Using a torque wrench, apply the recommended installation torque (32.5 Nm for M20 or 47.5 Nm for M25) to ensure the O-ring seal is properly seated and the enclosure's integrity is maintained.
- Perform routine checks
After installation, periodically check the Breather Drain during routine maintenance. Use compressed air to clear any debris from the internal dust seal and ensure the drainage holes are not blocked.
