Supplies needed:
Castellated locknut, O-ring seal, Mounting screws
- Select the appropriate Breather Drain
Ensure that the Breather Drain is certified for the same method of protection as the equipment and that it is suitable for the entry hole size and environmental conditions.
- Prepare the installation site
Clean the surface of the enclosure to remove any dust or moisture to maintain the IP rating. Ensure clearance holes are 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm larger than the thread size.
- Install the Breather Drain
Fit the Breather Drain into the clearance hole or threaded entry. If using a clearance hole, secure it with the castellated locknut. Ensure the O-ring seal is properly seated.
- Apply the recommended torque
Using a torque wrench, apply the recommended installation torque of 32.5 Nm for M20 or 47.5 Nm for M25 to ensure a secure fit.
