- Prepare the installation site
Ensure the surface of the enclosure is clean and free from dust or moisture. This is crucial for maintaining the IP rating of the Breather Drain.
- Install the Breather Drain
Position the Breather Drain at the lowest point on the bottom face of the enclosure. If using clearance holes, ensure they are 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm larger than the major diameter of the thread size.
- Secure the Breather Drain
Use the castellated locknut to secure the Breather Drain in place. If fitting directly into a threaded entry, ensure the O-ring seal is properly seated and apply the recommended installation torque (32.5 Nm for M20 or 47.5 Nm for M25).
- Verify installation integrity
Check that the O-ring seal is seated correctly and that the Breather Drain is securely fastened. Perform a visual inspection to ensure there are no gaps or misalignments.
