The nVent ZonEx ATEX- and IECEx-Certified Type 4X Screw Cover Enclosure (SKU: EXE10105SS6) provides robust protection for electrical components in hazardous locations. Constructed from Type 316L stainless steel with a 1.5 mm body and cover thickness, this enclosure meets ATEX Directive 94/9/EC and IECEx standards for increased safety in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications. It features a 2.0 mm galvanized steel mounting plate, M6 brass internal and external bonding provisions on both body and cover for safe grounding, and full-width welded wall-mounting brackets for secure installation. Internal weld studs facilitate panel or DIN rail mounting. The enclosure achieves an IP66 protection rating, along with Type 4, 4X, and 12 compliance, safeguarding against dust and water ingress. Its #4 brushed finish offers corrosion resistance. The standard polyurethane gasket provides reliable sealing, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. An optional silicone gasket is available for extended temperature ranges (-55°C to +180°C). Certifications include ATEX (Sira 09ATEX3224U) and IECEx (IECEx SIR 09.0099U) for Ex eb IIC Gb and Ex tb IIIC Db protection. Note: nVent HOFFMAN ATEX Ex e enclosures are designed for increased safety and not for explosion-proof or flame-proof environments.
