The nVent ZonEx ATEX/IECEx certified enclosure (SKU: EXE12128SS61) provides robust protection for electrical components in hazardous locations. Certified for Zone 1 & 2 increased safety applications (Ex eb IIC Gb, Ex tb IIIC Db), this enclosure meets stringent international standards. Constructed from durable Type 316L stainless steel (1.5mm body/cover) with a 2.0mm galvanized steel mounting plate, it offers superior corrosion resistance. The enclosure measures 12x12x8 inches and features a 320-grain brushed finish. Key features include a one-piece continuous gasket for effective sealing, Type 316 stainless steel cover screws, and full-width welded wall-mounting brackets for straightforward installation. Internal weld studs are provided for mounting panels or DIN rails. It includes M6 brass internal and external bonding provisions. The standard polyurethane gasket operates between -40°C to +70°C, with an optional silicone gasket available for extreme temperatures (-55°C to +180°C). This enclosure is specifically designed for Ex e applications and is IP66 and NEMA Type 4X, 12 rated. It is not intended for explosion-proof or flame-proof (Ex d) applications.
