How to Install the EXEBDM Breather Drain
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the EXEBDM Breather Drain to ensure optimal drainage and maintain the integrity of the enclosure.

Supplies needed:
Castellated locknut, O-ring seal, Mounting screws
- Prepare the installation site
Ensure the surface of the enclosure is clean and free from dust or moisture. Verify that the surrounding conditions do not exceed the stated operating temperatures of -50°C to +85°C.
- Position the Breather Drain
Fit the Breather Drain onto the bottom face of the enclosure at the lowest point to facilitate optimum drainage. Ensure that clearance holes are 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm larger than the major diameter of the thread size being used.
- Secure the Breather Drain
Insert the Breather Drain into the clearance hole or threaded entry. If using a clearance hole, secure it with the castellated locknut. Ensure the O-ring seal is properly seated in the groove and apply the recommended installation torque (M20: 32.5 Nm, M25: 47.5 Nm).
- Verify installation integrity
Check that the O-ring seal is seated correctly and that the Breather Drain is securely fastened. Conduct a visual inspection to ensure there are no gaps or misalignments.
- Perform routine maintenance
During routine checks, ensure that any surface debris on the internal dust seal is removed with compressed air. Clear any blockages in the exterior drainage holes using compressed air as necessary.
