Four 10-32 UNF self-tapping screws
- Prepare for Installation
Disconnect all power supplies to the enclosure before beginning installation to avoid electric shock. Read all instructions carefully and check the heater label to ensure suitability for your application.
- Determine Mounting Location
Center the heater as low as possible within the enclosure for optimal heat distribution. Mount the heater on a non-combustible metal surface, ensuring it is in a vertical position with the terminal block at the bottom and air outlet openings at the top. Maintain recommended clearances around the heater as indicated in the documentation to ensure safe operation and prevent damage to heat-sensitive components.
- Mount the Heater
Using the four included 10-32 UNF self-tapping screws, securely mount the heater to the chosen metal surface within the enclosure. Ensure the heater is firmly attached and oriented correctly.
- Wire the Heater
Ensure all wiring complies with applicable local codes and ordinances. Connect the heater lead wires to the appropriate AC power source. For 800 and 1300 watt heaters, the power source should be continuous. Properly ground the heater. Ensure exposed wires do not come into contact with the heater housing.
- Set the Thermostat
Adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature. It is recommended not to exceed 75°F for most applications. Ensure adequate protection is taken to prevent burns from the hot surface and to protect other components from heat.
- Final Checks
Verify that all internal and external electrical and mechanical clearances are checked to assure that all assembled equipment functions safely and properly. Reconnect power supplies only after all clearances have been verified.
