Overview

The nVent D723646SDA is a Type 12 seismic free-standing cabinet designed for robust industrial applications. Constructed from 12-gauge steel with continuously welded seams and unibody construction, this cabinet ensures structural integrity. It features a light gray polyester powder paint finish for durability. The 72x36x46 inch dimensions provide ample internal space. For enhanced rigidity on two-door models, back stiffeners are included. The cabinet is equipped with lifting eyes for easy handling and a 3-point latching system with an oil-tight, key-locking handle. Concealed, removable hinges facilitate maintenance. Internal mounting channels are welded horizontally at the top, bottom, and center, allowing for flexible placement of optional panels and rack angles. High-impact thermoplastic data pockets and an oil-resistant door gasket contribute to its functionality. This cabinet meets NEBS-Telcordia GR-63-CORE Zone 4 seismic standards when used with optional accessories. It is UL 508A Listed and rated NEMA/EEMAC Type 12, CSA Type 12, and IEC 60529 IP55. An optional white interior is available. Compatible with a range of nVent accessories including seismic anchor kits, bonding kits, panels, PDUs, heaters, and cooling products.

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, 3000 lb-rated chain or strap

  1. Prepare the installation area

    Clear the installation route of all obstructions and ensure that workers are at a safe distance, more than the overall height of the enclosure.

  2. Secure the enclosure for transport

    Using a forklift, insert a 3000 lb-rated chain or strap through the eye bolts on top of the enclosure and securely fasten it to the forklift mast. Ensure sufficient tension to prevent tipping.
