Overview

The nVent APO Flat Opaque Screw Cover Type 4X enclosure (SKU: A81-2212HPL2) provides reliable protection for electrical components in harsh industrial environments. Constructed from compression-molded fiberglass with a light gray High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) finish, this enclosure measures 21.97 x 11.89 x 6.93 inches and meets NEMA Type 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 standards, as well as IEC 60529 IP66 ingress protection. It resists dust, water, and corrosive atmospheres, making it ideal for junction boxes, terminal wiring, instrumentation, and control systems. Certified UL 508A Listed and cUL Listed per CSA C22.2 No. 94, the enclosure features a flat screw cover design for secure access and environmental sealing. Optional panels (steel, aluminum, composite) are available for customization. The fiberglass construction is halogen-free and meets NEMA Type 3RX requirements. Applications include oil and gas, mining, chemical processing, and water treatment where reliable enclosure protection is critical.
