- Mount the enclosure
Secure the FDME8RG Fiber Enclosure to the DIN rail using the integrated clips. Ensure the enclosure is level and firmly attached.
- Prepare the cable
Strip the outer cable jacket to 22 inches +/- 1/2 inch to allow for connector termination and slack. Align the cable jacket cut end with the edge of the cord grip +/- 1/2 inch.
- Terminate the fibers
Cut buffered fibers or jacketed fibers to 14 inches +/- 1/2 inch. Secure loops loosely with a piece of Tak-ty and trim aramid yarn to 3 inches.
- Secure the aramid yarn
Wrap the aramid yarn at least one full loop clockwise around the screw and secure it. Ensure that the yarn fits properly around the screw.
- Tighten the screws
Torque the #6-32 x 3/8 inch screws to 5 - 8 lb-in to ensure a secure connection.
