This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and setting up the A48H3620GQRLP enclosure, ensuring proper mounting and wiring.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter, 7/16” wrench
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Shims, Sealant
- Mount the enclosure
Secure the A48H3620GQRLP enclosure to the wall using appropriate mounting screws. Ensure the surface is flat and use shims if necessary to keep the enclosure level.
- Install the interior panel
If required, enlarge the panel hole(s) slightly to fit the interior panel into the enclosure. Ensure all mounting screws for the panel are tight.
- Connect the conduit
Cut conduit holes in the enclosure as needed using a hole saw. Install conduit connectors ensuring they are properly aligned to prevent stress on the enclosure walls.
- Wire the connections
Strip the ends of the wires and connect them to the terminal connectors inside the enclosure. Use a multimeter to verify all connections are secure and functioning.
- Adjust the door closing
If the door does not close properly, check for levelness and use shims behind the mounting foot to correct any sagging. Tighten all screws to ensure a proper fit.
- Seal the hinges
When reinstalling the door, apply a high-quality sealant to the hinges to maintain NEMA 4 sealing. Torque the fasteners to 35 inch/pounds.
