The nVent Type 12 SA Disc Enclosure (SKU: A36X2E5408) is a low-profile, 2-door disconnect solution designed for industrial environments requiring space-efficient component protection. This NEMA Type 12 enclosure meets UL 508A, cUL, and CSA standards, providing defense against dust, dirt, and non-corrosive liquids in indoor and outdoor applications. Constructed from .098-inch thick steel with ANSI 61 gray polyester powder paint inside and out, it ensures durability in harsh conditions. The enclosure measures 36.00" x 54.50" x 8.00" (914 x 1384 x 203 mm) and features a master door on the right with a screwdriver-operated defeater and mechanical interlock to prevent slave doors from opening first. A preferred cutout on the right flange accommodates most disconnect switches and circuit breakers. Removable .127-inch thick steel panels mount on collar studs (sold separately) and include conductive or white finishes. Typical applications include food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical production, manufacturing, water treatment, and chemical processing. Optional accessories like electric heaters, enclosure lights, and window kits enhance functionality. Made in the USA.
