Overview

The nVent A24R126 is a robust Type 3R screw-cover enclosure designed for demanding outdoor wiring and junction box applications. Constructed from 16-gauge galvanized steel and finished with ANSI 61 gray polyester powder paint, this enclosure measures 24 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. Its key feature is the drip-shield top, providing a 3/4-inch overhang to effectively protect internal components from falling rain, sleet, and snow. The seam-free sides, front, and back enhance its environmental resistance. For convenient installation, the enclosure includes embossed mounting holes on the back for direct mounting to a strut or mounting surface, eliminating the need for a vertical structure. Conduit entry is facilitated by knockouts located in the bottom. This model meets stringent industry standards, including UL 50, 50E Listed and cUL Listed per CSA C22.2 No 94 for Type 3R enclosures, and IEC 60529 IP32. It is an ideal choice for protecting controls in exposed outdoor locations where moisture and precipitation are significant concerns. The secure screw-cover design ensures a tight closure, and a provision for padlocking offers an additional layer of security. No gasketing is included. Manufactured in the USA.
