Overview

The nVent A30R248NK is a 30x24x8-inch Type 3R junction box constructed from 14-gauge galvanized steel with an ANSI 61 gray polyester powder paint finish. This durable enclosure is designed for outdoor electrical protection, offering reliable defense against rain, sleet, snow, and external ice formation, making it suitable for unheated or semi-exposed locations. Its drip-shield top and seam-free sides ensure Type 3R compliance when mounted horizontally. The screw-cover design eliminates knockouts, simplifying access and minimizing contaminant entry points. Embossed mounting holes on the back facilitate direct mounting to strut or surfaces, and optional mounting brackets provide 1-inch clearance to prevent water pooling. This UL 50/50E Listed and cUL Listed junction box is ideal for industrial facilities, commercial buildings, utility installations, outdoor lighting, and HVAC control panels. The 30x24x8-inch dimensions offer ample internal space for wiring. For enhanced security, the enclosure supports padlocking and includes plated steel screws for secure closure. Ensure optimal performance by using waterproof cable glands and sealants at entry points.
  • Drip shield top and seam-free sides, front, and back protect from rain, snow, or sleet
  • Slip-on removable cover fastened with plated steel screws along bottom edge
  • Handles on larger sizes (see table)
