How to Install the A1001YZUMC1 Enclosure Protection System
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the A1001YZUMC1 Enclosure Protection System to ensure safe operation in hazardous environments.

Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, 1/4" O.D. tubing, Enclosure warning nameplate
- Mount the enclosure protection system
Transfer the hole pattern of the system mounting plate to the intended surface. Drill and deburr the mounting holes, then secure the system using four (4) 1/4" x 3/4" stainless steel bolts, nuts, and lock washers.
- Connect the protective gas supply
Install the protective gas supply header tap within twenty (20) feet of the enclosure protection system. Connect the gas supply tubing to the system supply fitting, ensuring all fittings are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Install enclosure supply and reference fittings
Drill and deburr holes for the enclosure supply and reference fittings on the protected enclosure. Mount the fittings and connect the corresponding tubing, ensuring proper seating and securing the tubing to structural supports.
- Configure the system settings
Set the protective gas supply regulator to a maximum of 5 PSI. If using an enclosure protection vent, ensure the gas supply does not exceed 120 PSI. Verify all connections are secure and check for leaks using a multimeter.
- Calibrate the system
Perform a bench test of the system functions before final installation. Ensure the system maintains the required pressure levels and operates correctly under test conditions.
- Install warning nameplates
Affix the enclosure warning nameplate in a prominent position on or near all enclosure accesses. Ensure it is clearly visible and contains necessary safety information.
