This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the RSHLF36 shelf onto a 4-post rack, ensuring proper mounting and stability for your equipment.

Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Paint piercing washers, Anti-oxidizing gel
- Prepare the rack
Lay the side assembly of the rack on a flat surface. Apply anti-oxidizing gel to the painted surfaces where the paint piercing washers will contact.
- Assemble the rack
Attach the base angles and top brackets to the side assembly using 3/8" bolts and paint piercing washers. Do not tighten the bolts yet.
- Secure the assembly
Hinge the side assembly upwards and align the mounting holes in the top brackets. Install the remaining bolts and tighten all bolts to at least 14 ft-lbs (19.0 N-m).
- Mount the shelf
Slide the RSHLF36 shelf into the desired slots on the rack. Secure the shelf with four #12-24 screws to ensure stability.
- Verify installation
Check that the shelf is level and securely mounted. Ensure that all screws are tightened and that the rack is stable before placing any equipment on the shelf.
