How to Install the RCSTR Caster Bracket Kit
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the RCSTR Caster Bracket Kit on a 4 Post Rack, ensuring safe and stable mobility.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wrench, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
3/8-16 X 1" Bolts, 3/8-16 Hex Nuts, 3/8" Washers, Floor Mounting Brackets, Antioxidant paste
- Locate the front side of the rack
Identify the front side of the rack by finding the Panduit label affixed on the top bracket.
- Apply antioxidant paste
Coat the painted surfaces where the 3/8" Paint Piercing Washers will contact with antioxidant paste to prevent corrosion.
- Install Fixed Caster Assembly
From the bottom of the rack, attach the Fixed Caster and Bracket Assembly along with the Floor Mounting Bracket using (2) 3/8-16 X 1" Bolts and (2) 3/8" Paint Piercing Washers. Ensure the flange fits around the bottom cross brace and do not tighten yet.
- Install Swivel Caster Assembly
Repeat the previous step for the Swivel Caster and Bracket Assembly at the rear of the rack, ensuring the same alignment and not tightening the bolts yet.
- Install Top Brackets
Apply antioxidant paste again and install the Top Brackets using (4) 3/8-16 X 1" Bolts and (4) 3/8" Paint Piercing Washers. Do not tighten.
- Attach remaining side assembly
Position the remaining side assembly and Floor Mounting Brackets, applying antioxidant paste as before. Secure using (2) 3/8-16 X 1" Bolts and (2) 3/8" Paint Piercing Washers without tightening.
- Align and secure side assembly
Rotate the side assembly upward to align with the top brackets and install (6) 3/8-16 X 1" Bolts and (6) 3/8" Paint Piercing Washers. Square and tighten all bolts as per the rack instruction sheet.
- Secure caster brackets
Insert (1) 3/8-16 X 1" Bolt and (1) 3/8" Washer into the rack frame from the outside and secure with (1) 3/8-16 Hex Nut and (1) 3/8" Washer from the inside of the caster bracket on both sides.
- Mount rack to floor
After determining the mounting location, securely attach both sides of the rack to the floor using appropriate hardware based on the floor construction.
