3/8x1” bolts, 3/8” nuts, 3/8” paint piercing washers, Antioxidant paste, Mounting hardware for floor
- Prepare surfaces
Apply antioxidant paste to painted surfaces that the 3/8 paint piercing washers will contact to prevent corrosion.
- Install top angles
Attach the top angles to the upright channels using (2) 3/8x1” bolts, (2) 3/8” nuts, and (4) 3/8” paint piercing washers per angle. Finger tighten only.
- Install base angles
Secure the base angles to the vertical upright channels using (4) 3/8x1” bolts, (4) 3/8” nuts, and (8) 3/8” paint piercing washers per angle. Finger tighten only.
- Stand the rack upright
Carefully stand the rack upright and use a carpenter square to ensure the upright channels are squared with the base.
- Tighten bolts
Completely tighten all bolts to at least 14 ft-lbs (19.0 N-m) using a torque wrench.
- Mount rack to the floor
Securely mount the rack to the floor using appropriate hardware based on the floor construction (concrete, raised floor, or wood).
- Verify weight distribution
